  1. If you receive an unfavorable decision, it is important that you contact an attorney immediately. Please remember that most people are not granted benefits initially.
  2. Treat;Treat; Treat! Remember, when you are applying for benefits, a decision is rendered based upon both your subjective complaints as well as your medical documentation. You significantly improve your chances of recovering if you receive medical care for all physical and/or psychiatric impairments. Not only is it beneficial for your claim, but it is beneficial for your physical and mental well-being!
  3. Discuss with your doctors whether they will be supportive of your claim. Remember, it will not only be necessary for your doctors to submit their treatment records but we will ask them at a future date to complete a form pertaining to your ability to perform gainful employment on a continuous and sustained basis. Additionally,it is important that if you have an impairment of an unusual nature, that you see a doctor who specializes in the treatment of that type of problem.
